mohammad (Shahab) nazari

Mohammad (Shahab) Nazari received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2017. After a short postdoctoral appointment, he joined Scania in 2018 as one of the company’s first data scientists and has since worked as an ML and AI Development Engineer within autonomous vehicle development.
His work focuses on the development, training, and deployment of deep learning systems for autonomous trucks. He has also served as Product Owner for AI in Scania’s Autonomous Vehicles Department, helping shape the company’s AI strategy and research direction. In addition to his industrial work, he actively supervises Master’s and PhD students and collaborates with academia on advanced AI research.
His current research interests include large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), explainable AI, and representation learning.
